Filters supplied by REEFING are meant for filtration of different fluid medium (hydrotreated feed, MEA solution, MDEA solution, fuel oil) and gas medium (gas products mixture, gas fuel) at oil refining industry.
Filter surfaces are formed by slotted screens. The slotted screen construction is constituted by a grid made of high-precision Δ-shaped wire (lengthwise elements) and transverse support bars (rods) welded to each other in every point of intercept.
Bases of Δ-shaped wire form smooth surface on which corrosion products and mechanical particles remain, and gaps between wires form slots which provide easy pass of treated product due to the fact that the further they are from the filtration surface the wider they are.
Slotted screen construction lets meet the most rigid requirements to service characteristics of filter elements, such as:
- minimal hydraulic resistance;
- decrease of filter element clogging influence on flow evenness due to mechanical particles and filter element details contact only in 2 points of Δ-shaped wire sharp edges;
- low manpower efforts needed to renew filter element capacity for work (cleaning, ablution);
- longer period of filter element effective work till next cleaning;
- in-service reliability of filter element;
- filter element service life is up to 10 years and longer.
REEFING manufactures filter elements with slot size of 30 micrometers and more.
