Dropping liquid baffles

Dropping liquid baffle or mist extractor corresponds to regular mass-transfer packing and serves to extract liquid presented in gases.

Mist extractors are manufactured in the form of modular packages in the shape of various standard sizes rectangular parallelepipeds. The package's essential is corrugated slotted panels made of stainless steel. During assembling inside a vessel packing is conglomerated of packages with required dimensions of bed thickness and vessel diameter.

The mist extractor's potency and universality make it very suitable for use in such vessels as:

• separators;
• extraction columns;
• other mass transfer vessels.

Head's operating efficiency are provided by the following:

• slots are made in a special way;
• sheet's ruffles are made at an angle against slots;
• corrugated sheets are arranged in a package in a certain order.

Regular packings for heat and mass exchangers

REEFING in collaboration with limited liability company Refoil (Ufa) produces regular mass transfer packings for the processes of rectification, absorption, stripping and extraction.

The packing represents a set of packages manufactured of louver slotted corrugated panels gathered together in such a way that liquid flows zigzag from top downwards.

Gas (vapour) phase is moving upwards contacting fluid film on the plates both in straight flow and in cross flow which lets use the packing in impure, polymerizing and coking medium.

Height of a theoretical packing depends on load and is 0,2-0,5m. At that pressure drop is 300-600mm w.c. per 1m of the packing height.
